Impressive ImprovementsUpdating The Iphone

On June 29, 2007, thousands of consumers waited in line anxiously outside Apple and AT&T stores to purchase the new Apple iPhone. Others were hesitant to invest in this new product, which cost as much as $600. Perhaps it is the latter consumers who made the best judgment after allvarious websites are reporting as many as 68 different bugs in the new device. Not to fearApple is already working on an iPhone update. The iPhone 1.1 will include many features the device lacked before and will take into consideration the complaints of the consumers. Now, dont you wish you had waited? Dealing With Consumer Complaints Part of the iPhone update is based off of the complaints of some of the hardest people to pleasethe consumers. Though most of the complaints regarding the iPhone were minor, Apple has done their best to improve the iPhone so that it complies with the needs and desires of the companys fan base. Some bugs are more minor than others. One of the complaints, for example, was that the iPhone does not make any sort of noise when it exits silent mode. To improve upon the iPhone in an update, Apple might consider adding a short notification beep when exiting silent mode. Other complaints regarding the iPhone are not considered minor. For example, seven of the complaints were related to crash or data loss. Only one consumer complaint was labeled as being serious. Missing Features? The iPhone update is expected to include several features that were missing from the first version. Some of the features that were not included in the iPhone version 1.0 are: 3G support, voice recording, voice dialing, a memory card slot, instant messaging, native games, copy and paste, support for MP3 files as ring tones, GPS capability, and common Bluetooth file transfer (OBEX). The Official Improvement List Merely a month after the release of the original iPhone, Apple released a list of improvements that were expected to be included on the iPhone update. One major improvement is the addition of more applications, such as iWork and iChat. Other improvements include support for Flash, ring tones, file sharing, disk mode support, file browser, and synching with .Mac accounts. More To Come Although this update on the iPhone is the first, it undoubtedly wont be the last. Apple will certainly continue to update their product as they struggle to meet the needs of a world continually faced with new technology.
